You at least need a backup scanner to make money while out for repair. Probably could avoid a month of down time and shipping costs to china and likely be  more cost efficient if you factor in all the down time to just buy a new unit with a warranty or upgrade to a newr Maxi Sys mini with another year of updates. Being out of warranty, I would take mine apart and check all the solder joints of the board at the main cable connection.

 Can you get contacted with your provider? You can send your unit to your seller (our dealer), they will arrange to send back to China factory for repairing. As for the cost, including the shipping cost in both ways and also the component cost if needed.It depends.
